A Report of the Record Commissioners of the City of Boston containing the Boston Marriages from 1700 to 1751. Includes Boston Marriages and Intentions filed - Marriages not recorded in Boston and Out-of-Town Marriages from Court Record.

The record includes the surnames and forename of the bride and groom (and intentions) the name and title of the person who they were married by as well as the Date of Marriage. In some instances the records provide the Town or County of origin of the parties.

An entry reads as follows;

Names; John Fowl & Mary Barrell  Married by; Rev. Mr. Benj. Wadsworth Presbytn  Date of Marriage: Aug. 20, 1713
Int.* reads [Fowle] [Barrel]

*The publishments, or intentions of marriage, from 1707 to 1751, have been compared with the records and all differences of spelling noted. recommends that different spelling variations are used when searching for a name
