The Kentucky Vital Statistics office has on file marriage certificates from June 1958 to the present. Here we have obtained the index records for 1973-1999. Certified marriage certificates can be ordered and the required fee paid by phone, mail, Internet or by visiting the office.
To inquire about marriage certificates prior to June 1958, please call the county clerk in the county where the marriage license was issued.
Information needed to obtain a marriage/divorce certificate:
- Full name of the groom or husband
- Full name of the bride or wife
- The month, day and year of the marriage
- The county where the marriage license was issued
